In many parts of Zambia, families do not have the means to feed their children regularly, and there are no government welfare programs as we know them in the United States. Without these safety nets, when there is no food at home, many families will send their kids out into the streets in the hopes they at least have a chance to find food by fending for themselves, whether by foraging, begging, stealing, or doing small jobs around the community if they can find them. It is a desperate situation, calling for whatever help we can offer.
To help these kids and families, we have been providing meals to up to 25 kids at least 2 to 3 days per week. Please pray that we can continue to expand this ministry to provide more meals, more hope, and share Christ’s love with more kids and families.
- To feed up to 25 kids from the ages of 6-14 who otherwise would not receive a mid-day meal
- To provide meals at least 3 or more days per week.
- To get to know these kids personally on a one on one basis.
- To introduce them to knowing about the Lord and His love.
